YouTube signs video content deal with Univision Video website YouTube and Hispanic TV provider Univision have signed a deal.
The leading Spanish-language media company in the US, Univision Interactive Media, has signed a partnership deal with online video site YouTube.
The new deal allows for short-length and long-from Unvision videos available on the website.
Kevin Conroy, president of Univision, said: "This is a very exciting milestone, as it represents the first time that any Univision programming is available on the web outside our own properties.
"This partnership uniquely extends our reach to our audience and solidifies our position as the leading Spanish-language video provider for US Hispanics."
Programmes by Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision will be promoted on the YouTube website.
Chris Maxcy, head of content partnerships at YouTube, said that the deal was a "big win" for the video aggregator.
"There is a huge demand to watch Spanish-language content on YouTube," Mr Maxcy added.
YouTube is currently the world's most popular online video website, with millions of people viewing content every day.
