YouTube continues to dominate YouTube remains by far the most effective website for posting corporate video productions, newly-compiled figures suggest.
Three in every four online videos viewed by users in the United States is watched on YouTube, according to the latest data compiled by ComScore.
This placed the site far ahead of its rivals, including Microsoft and Yahoo's own internet video offerings, as well as a number of CBS Interactive sites, with marketers likely to be alert to the fact that the average American watches around three online video productions a day.
At the same time, the figures also show that the typical duration of videos watched over the internet now stands at 4.3 minutes.
This suggests that marketers would be wise to keep their corporate video productions short and to the point should they wish to get their message across to consumers.
The publication of these latest statistics comes as pet food company Pedigree has become the latest firm to make use of YouTube's potential, with a new campaign aimed at promoting its Adoption Drive set to be launched online within the coming days.
