Yahoo! enlists football stars for World Cup video productions David Beckham, Didier Drogba and Arsene Wenger to star in Yahoo! video productions.
Firm’s looking to cash in on the Fifa World Cup this summer may want to consider using online video productions as part of their marketing strategy.
Internet search engine Yahoo! has decided to do just that by signing up a range of footballing stars to appear in a series of video productions to be shown on its website.
England star David Beckham, Chelsea’s Didier Droga and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger have all agreed to take part as Yahoo! seeks to increase its association to the sport in the build-up to the World Cup and promote its coverage of next season’s Premier League.
The three football personalities will give predictions and analysis of the World Cup matches via articles and videos.
Speaking to New Media Age, James Tipple, Yahoo EMEA VP of marketing, said, “When we relaunched our brand last September we said content would be at the core of what we offer. So we need deals like this.”
The World Cup, which will take place in South Africa, gets underway this Friday (June 11th).
