Web playing 'central role' in marketing activity Most brands now recognise importance of internet marketing, says expert.
Online could be an important platform for corporate video productions thanks to the webs increasingly important role in marketing.
According to Karin von Abrams, a senior analyst at research firm eMarketer, almost all brands are now turning to the internet as a key medium for marketing campaigns.
"The web is definitely taking on a central role in marketing activity for virtually all brands," she said.
She claims that a number of pioneering companies, as well as the explosion of social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, have helped businesses catch on to the potential of the internet as a marketing tool.
"It is now clear that every brand or business can benefit in some way from building awareness online, or from rethinking its business processes to make full use of digital channels," commented Ms Abrams.
Recent research carried out by comScore on behalf of Searchandise Commerce and iProspect, found that two-thirds of shoppers begin the buying purchase by logging on to the web for information.
