Warner Music reaches video agreement with Hulu.com Warner Music has reached an agreement with Hulu.com to provide music-related video content to the website.
The benefits of corporate video production have been realised by an emerging entertainment website in the US.
Hulu.com, which recently agreed a deal with EMI to show music video content, has entered into a partnership with Warner Music Group, which will allow the music label to broadcast live concerts, artist interviews and music videos.
The website is favoured among media production companies because, unlike YouTube, it features purely professional content.
It currently screens entire television programmes and films to users for free, and while it is limited to the US, has plans to expand worldwide.
"We're pleased to be working with Hulu as we expand our premium ad-supported video strategy to provide our artists with a customized and flexible approach to marketing and monetizing their music," explained Michael Nash, Warner Music's chief executive.
Record labels under the Warner Music umbrella include Elektra, East West and Asylum.
Warner Music announced earlier this month that electro-pop artist Little Boots, Atlantic Record and technology firm RjDj had launched an innovative mobile application, allowing fans to interact with the popstar's visuals and music.
