Virgin Wines to launch social media video productions Videos and blogging to form part of social media drive by wine merchant.
Wine merchant Virgin Wines is to increase its use of video productions as part of a new marketing strategy.
The company also plans to increase blogging activities and make use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote its business, New Media Age reports.
A spokeswoman for the company told the news provider: "Our wine makers and wine buyers have stories from around the world and what they've come across in particular countries, and we want to bring that directly to the customer, with the opportunity for direct interaction, as well as the opportunity to share events and new product releases."
She added that the social media campaign would aim to engage and retain customers as well as improve search positioning.
It will be used to enhance the company's 'wine zone' content section, which provides information about grapes and regions and lets customers rate products.
Launched in 2000, Virgin Wines aims to supply customers with quality boutique wines that can be ordered over the internet.
