Viral video production brings happiness to Coca-Cola Happiness Machine video reaches over 770,00 YouTube hits since posting on January 12th.
Last week saw the launch of Coca-Cola's first ever internet-only marketing campaign and the viral video production appears to have already achieved great success.
The campaign saw a video posted on YouTube called Happiness Machine. It shows a Coca-Cola vending machine at a US college campus that dispenses unexpected items, such as flowers, balloon animals and unlimited Coca-Cola.
As of today, (Thursday, January 21st) the video has already received over 770,000 hits on YouTube, having only been posted on January 12th.
Upon the video's launch Coca-Cola's brand manager AJ Brustein, said that the company had been looking for a way to reach teenagers outside of traditional mediums such as TV adverts.
"We wanted to give them something that would spread a bit of happiness and something they could pass on to their friends to keep the happiness flowing," he said.
Earlier this month, Coca-Cola announced it would stop using specially created campaign sites for online marketing.
Instead it would post content on social media sites such as Facebook and YouTube, New Media Age reported.
