Video productions ideal for marketing on a budget

Companies should use online video productions as a way of marketing their business even if on a tight budget.

That is the opinion of Niall Harbison of Irish online PR company Simply Zesty who argues video is so effective that "anybody should give it a go".

Writing on the firm's blog, Mr Harbison claimed that video productions help brands connect with consumers and, contrary to popular belief, can be made on a small budget.

"By watching a video you get a real feeling for what people are like and hopefully the personality and enthusiasm for what you are doing shines through," he said.

"Video is so cheap to produce these days that for a couple of hundred euros you can produce something like this that will get embedded on other sites and push your brand out there."

His view may be supported by many in the email marketing business who are increasingly turning to video to bring in customers.

According to recent research published by Econsultancy and email service provider Adestra, 28 per cent of companies are using video content in their emails as a way to build customer engagement.
