Video production services help with online selling, says expert An internet retail specialist has pointed to the growing role of online video productions in supporting e-commerce.
Corporate video productions can help to sell products online in areas where consumers are reluctant to buy, an industry expert has said.
Don Davis, editor of Internet Retailer magazine, observed that many online retailers are finding certain items a "challenge" to sell online.
He suggested that consumers are more comfortable buying items online that they do not need to feel or touch.
"A book is a book, and consumers are happy to buy it online. A diamond necklace is something else," he explained.
The comments come after a survey conducted for elephant.co.uk revealed that British people have saved £27,024 since the millennium by shopping online. The survey found that the biggest savings were made on the weekly food shop.
Mr Davis commented: "Retail web sites have got much better in recent years in providing lots of images, videos and other information that can make consumers more comfortable buying all sorts of products online."
