Samsung uses online video productions to showcase products New online TV show helps families solve common household problems.
Technology company Samsung is using a new series of online video productions to showcase some of its products.
The venture takes the form of an online TV show called Smart n Simple in which ordinary families are shown how to tackle common household chores in an easier way, such as vacuuming and doing the laundry.
Each episode ends with a demonstration of a related Samsung product.
Furthermore, users can upload their own videos via the smartnsimple.tv website and share their own tips with other viewers.
The clips are also being shown on daily motion.com and will be promoted via Facebook and Twitter.
Andrew Jones, Samsung's marketing manager, said: "We wanted to create an innovative multi-channel experience that bridged the gap between what brands can typically offer people, and which we could also use as a means of communicating information about our range of home appliances."
Rival technology firm Philips recently launched a rom com TV series exclusively on YouTube.
Called Nigel and Victoria, it too is used as a platform for demonstrating the firm's products.
