Sainsbury's launches video productions on MSN New MSN channel to feature cooking videos starring Jamie Oliver.
Supermarket chain Sainsbury's has launched a new channel, hosted by MSN, featuring an array of online video productions.
The Sainsbury's Food & Drink channel is the first of its kind to be hosted on the internet portal.
It will feature a range of content including food ideas and recipes as well as cookery videos, some of which will star TV chef Jamie Oliver.
Aimed primarily at mums and household food shoppers, visitors to MSN will be directed to Sainsbury's Food & Drink via links on several of the portals pages, including MSN Life & Style, Messenger Today, MSN Celebrity, MSN Him and MSN Money.
Sarah Squire, senior brand manager at Sainsbury's, said: "The launch of the food and drinks channel on MSN allows Sainsbury's to engage with a new audience and encourage them to think about new ways to shop for and consume food."
Sainsbury's will be hoping the move will help revive their flagging food sales after it was announced this week that the retailer saw its lowest increase in sales, excluding petrol and new stores, since the end of 2004 in the 12 weeks to June 12th.
