Piers Morgan to launch online TV show First TV to provide news and entertainment for children and teenagers.
Journalist and TV personality Piers Morgan is to make use of video productions as part of a new online TV show.
The former Mirror editor is to launch the show, called First TV, today (July 16th), reports New Media Age.
It is an extension of his First News venture, a newspaper for kids, and will feature a mixture of news, entertainment, sport, travel, celebrity interviews, competitions and record breaking attempts.
Nicky Cox, editor of First News and First TV, told the news provider the channel would fill a gap in the market for young people.
"For too long, older children and teenagers have been poorly served by traditional television channels. We felt it was time to make their own channel just for them," he said.
"First News is already read by a quarter of the nation's young people so First TV was the next logical step for us on a digital platform."
The news comes as it was revealed Morgan has signed a deal with CNN to replace US talk show host Larry King.
