Online video productions have moved into the mainstream, says expert Audiences for online video productions are "booming", it is claimed.
Online video productions are no longer a novelty and have moved into the mainstream, it has been claimed.
According to Jonathan Milne, senior director of sales and operations, EMEA, at online video platform Ooyala, audience demand for online video has grown substantially in recent years and marketers are now responding to this by engaging with consumers online.
Speaking to Marketing Week, he commented: "Brands and agencies can see that the online video audience is booming.
"Marketers and brands want to use video even more as they see audiences headed that way. So online video has moved from something new and unusual right into the mainstream."
Mr Milne added that as online video engages well with audiences, they are inclined to share it with others through social media, such as Twitter and Facebook.
Twitter recently announced a redesign of its website that gives greater prominence to video productions, by allowing users to embed videos as part of their tweets.
