Online video productions drive website visits, says report Consumers 28 per cent more likely to visit websites if exposed to online video advertising.
A new report has found that video productions are effective at driving internet users to visit websites.
The UK study, carried out by .Fox Networks and ComScore, also found that online video and display advertising are also successful in boosting advertiser search queries, even in the face of minimal clicks on ads.
In fact, consumers exposed to video advertising were 28 percent more likely to visit a site and nearly twice as likely to enter the brand name onto a search engine.
Gian Fulgoni, chairman of comScore, said studies such as these are hleping marketers to realise that the internet is now a powerful branding tool.
"As the online industry seeks to increase its share of branding advertising budgets, it's more important than ever to prove the value of display and video ad formats", he said.
According to IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index, online sales rose by 13 per cent in February compared to the same period in 2009.
