Online video production advertising 'exploding' Expert claims online video advertisers are seeing encouraging returns on investment.
The rising popularity of video productions on the net has been highlighted by an "explosion" in online video advertising.
According to Jamie Estrin, managing director of online advertising network Web TV Enterprise, advertisers are turning to internet video in increasing numbers.
"The whole online video advertising market is exploding right now," he said.
"Advertisers are investing heavily into this space because they're seeing a great ROI. They've been testing the market for the past 12 to 18 months and now they're investing heavily because they have seen great returns."
He went on to explain that online advertising has an advantage over television as it offers advertisers greater targeting capabilities.
Mr Estrin claims that online advertisers and video producers are incrementally increasing their audience share and attracting TV viewers.
Yahoo! head of commercial development Guy Beresiner recently claimed in an article for Marketing Week that the increasing prevalence of video content such as TV shows and films on the internet is providing a new online platform for advertisers.
"Quality video content provides advertisers with an online platform, through pre-roll for example, where they can use creative executions either directly from their TV campaigns - or an extension of this," he said.
