Online video advertising to be honoured at awards  Next year will be the first time that online video advertising campaigns are to receive an award by the Web Marketing Association.
The best online video advertising campaign is to be named by the Web Marketing Association.
Companies or agencies wishing to nominate their work have until January 29th 2010 to put it forward before a decision is made early next year.
William Rice, president of the Web Marketing Association, said: "Online video has exploded in popularity over the last few years as a form of advertising and it looks like this trend is likely to continue.
"Videos can be standalone viral projects, serials or page-based creative. Each online video ad will be judged on creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting and use of the medium."
The winner will be announced at the eight annual Internet Advertising Competition Awards.
Other awards include advertising formats such as online newsletters, integrated ads and mobile applications, which alongside online video is a new award for 2010.
There will also be a category for "ads the client did not choose".
