Online spending increases Consumer online spending up 15 per cent year-on-year in March.
Now may be a good time to invest in internet video productions and take advantage of ever increasing consumer online spend.
The latest IMRG Capgemini e-Retail Sales Index has revealed that consumers spent 15 per cent more on online shopping this March compared to the same time last year a rise of £3.9 billion to £4.5 billion.
Although all sectors performed well, the vastly improved weather following a long winter meant retailers of home and garden items, beer and spirits and clothing did particularly well.
The index also found that those with both an online and high street presence performed particularly well, with sales up 28 per cent year-on-year.
"There is a strong trend emerging showing that high street retailers with an online presence are playing an increasingly significant role in the e-retail sector," said Tina Spooner, director of information at IMRG.
"Retailers with a diverse multichannel offering will no doubt continue to reap the rewards of their investment in the online space."
The news comes despite a the simultaneous release of a News International Commercial study that found still focusing on frugality following the end of the recession.
