October's online video view count unveiled October saw 28 billion videos watched on YouTube, with 167 million US internet users watching an online video in the same period.
More than 167 million US internet users watched an online video in October 2009.
That is according to new statistics from ComScore, which showed that a total of 28 billion videos were watched in that period.
YouTube.com topped the lists for sites where video was watched, followed by Hulu and then Microsoft.
The 167 million users who watched video watched an average of 167 in October.
Other notable findings include the top video ad networks, with BrightRoll Video Network seeing a 16.5 per cent penetration of online video viewers.
The average duration of an online video was 3.9 minutes and the standard YouTube viewer watched around 7.6 videos during October.
Last week, an article on MediaPost suggested that video could be used as a new addition to an email marketing campaign.
