New figures suggest benefits of social network video productions Average British web user spends 65 per cent more time online than they did three years ago.
Video productions are perhaps best placed on social networks, new figures suggest.
Research published by the UK Online Measurement company reveals that the average British web user spends 65 per cent more time online than three years ago.
This amounts to each internet user spending 22 hours and 15 minutes online per month.
Over a quarter of this time is dedicated to social networks and blogs, which is more than for any other online activity.
"I think much of the increase in internet usage is probably the result of people participating in social media activities or simply searching and finding increasing amounts of information on niche subjects published via social media channels," commented social media expert Jim Monks, of TweetMeme.com.
A large proportion of this information may be from online video productions such as those posted on YouTube or embedded within other social networks such as Facebook.
A recent comScore study revealed that views of online video clips by UK internet users were up 37 per cent in February compared to the same period a year before.
