NHS launches viral campaign Viral videos showing a woman urinating and a man being hit by a car have been released by the NHS.
Shocking videos highlighting the dangers of drinking have been released as part of a new viral campaign by the NHS.
The first video shows a young drunk woman urinating in public while being jeered by a passing group of men. In the second, a man in fancy dress is run over after downing drinks and dancing in front of his friends.
The viral videos are part of a new campaign called Cocktales, aimed at preventing alcohol abuse among young people in Derbyshire.
Alison Pritchard, a consultant in public health at Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust, said: "We know from our research they watch YouTube videos that capture their attention.
"Our videos use dark comedy to make them laugh but then show the serious side of the problems alcohol can cause."
The videos have been released on the campaign's website, cocktalesmix.co.uk, as well as on YouTube.
Government figures show that over 50,000 young men and women end up in hospital as a result of binge drinking each year.
