MySingleFriend.com launches online video production Online wine programme to be streamed by dating website.
Dating website MySingleFriend.com has launched a new online video production in the style of a television programme.
The website has hired BBC Saturday Kitchen's wine expert Olly Smith to front a new online series about wine called Olly Smith's Drink Tank, New Media Age reports.
Designed to educate novices about wine, the show will be streamed in ten three-minute episodes.
For the first time, MySingleFriend.com will be using advertising to fund the video, having previously posted videos on its YouTube channel.
The programme will be shown on Dailymail.co.uk, as well as iTunes, YouTube and MySingleFriend.com.
It follows a survey by the website that shows 77 per cent believe people that know about wine are more intelligent and attractive than those who do not.
MySingleFriend.com was started by Sarah Beeny, better known for presenting Channel 4's Property Ladder.
Cross between a dating website and a social network, it allows people to recommend possible partners to others they are friends with on the site.
