Live video production of V Festival to be streamed online Footage of the music festival will be streamed on website and YouTube channel.
Organisers of this year's V Festival are looking to make the most of the rising popularity of online video productions by streaming footage of the event live online.
The decision was made after demand for tickets for the music festival, which takes place on the weekend of August 21st and 22nd, outstripped supply.
A live stream of the event will be shown on the V Festival website as well as its YouTube page.
Several of the artists, which this year include Kings of Leon and Kasabian among others, will also stream the video production on their websites for the duration of their performances.
Paul Glossop, a V Festival spokesman, told New Media Age: "Tickets sold out in 90 minutes so this is the next best thing to being there."
It follows a recent announcement that a V Festival mobile app will be launched on Nokia's Ovi App Store which will allow Nokia handset users get news updates and travel information to and from the venue.
