Lady Gaga video production makes online history The potential of online video production has been highlighted by the latest figures from the music industry
The latest single from Lady Gaga has helped her to make history by becoming the first artist to have her online video productions viewed one billion times.
Serving to highlight the potential reach of corporate video productions, the American singer has reached the landmark figure with just three singles, namely Poker Face, Bad Romance and Just Dance.
According to market research company Visible Measure, which compiled the figures, the actual number of online viewings achieved by the artist is likely to be considerably higher than one billion, with a number of her other tracks having not been taken into account for the compilation.
Notably, the company has revealed that a number of artists also hit the 100 million mark in terms of online video production viewings, with this select group including the likes of Beyonce and Susan Boyle, whose initial Britain's Got Talent audition has emerged as a major internet hit over the past couple of years.
At the same time, the figures also show the viral potential of quirky films, with a famous video of a sneezing baby panda having also hit the 100 million viewings mark after being uploaded three years ago.
