Labour launches YouTube manifesto Labour has used video productions on YouTube to outline policies ahead of General Election.
The Labour Party has recognised the marketing potential of video productions posted on YouTube in run up to the General Election.
It has unveiled a series of YouTube videos outlining its manifesto, entitled A Future Fair for All.
The cartoon-style video productions outline the key policies they pledge to introduce should they be returned to power at the polls on May 6th.
It is a part of a conscious effort by the party to make use of social media and the internet to reach out to voters.
To this end, they recently enlisted blogger and labour supporter Ellie Gellard to speak at the manifesto launch.
She urged people to use Facebook, YouTube and Twitter to spread the manifesto's message.
"If Labour is to win this election we need to get the policies and plans set out in our manifesto to as wide an audience as possible," she said.
It was recently announced that the leaders of the three main political parties will take part in a YouTube debate in which they will post video responses to questions suggested by members of the public.
