Hotel chain launches online video production campaign

Online video productions are to form a central part of a new marketing campaign launched by the hotel chain Radisson.

Designed to highlight the individuality of both its hotels and clientele, the company has commissioned a series of portraits by up-and-coming artists.

The portraits are each of a different real-life guest at a Radisson hotel.

Video productions featuring both the artists and their subjects will be shown the company's home page, Facebook and Youtube and carry the tag line "We're very you".

"We've turned the normal endorsement campaign on its head," said Linda Plant, Radisson's marketing director.

"The campaign is less about photographs of our interiors but rather focuses on our guests, demonstrating that we specialise in really knowing them."

Named after the famous French explorer Pierre Radisson, the first Radisson hotel opened in Minneapolis in the US in 1909. It now operates in 420 locations in 73 countries.
