French Connection's YouTube store goes live YouTique showcases fashion label's products that viewers can then click on to buy.
A new online store from Fench Connection that is centred around video productions on YouTube has gone live.
Called YouTique, it is the first example of a UK-based online store hosted on the video sharing site.
It contains a number of video productions each showcasing different items from the fashion label.
Making use of YouTube's Annotations tool, at the end of the video viewers can click on an item they want to buy and be taken to the French Connection website to complete the purchase.
Alternatively, a range of tabs can be selected that take users to other videos displaying more products.
Earlier this month, Jennifer Roebuck, head of digital at French Connection, told New Media Age: "As well as being an entertaining feature that offers valuable information to shoppers, this means we'll generate more brand awareness from YouTube users who are searching for anything from 'little black dress' to 'how to dress for a first date'."
According to the recent Online Video and The Media Industry report from Brightcove and TubeMogul, 85 per cent of brand managers use online video for marketing.
