Experts predict mobile marketing growth Marketers have indicated that they believe mobile will be the fastest growing medium for the next half decade.
Mobile will be the fastest growing marketing medium for the next five years.
That is according to a survey by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB), which found that 73 per cent of marketers believe that will be the case.
It was also found that 95 per cent of digital budgets now include a mobile marketing allocation.
Jon Mew, head of mobile marketing for the IAB, said: "It's extremely encouraging to see that agencies in the UK are adapting to the changing landscape, allocating bigger budgets to mobile and hiring more specialists.
"Mobile advertising is less of a choice for brands [and] more of a necessity if they want to reach today's consumer."
Results from the survey also show that familiarity has increased, with more marketers familiar with the mobile sector.
Earlier this week the European Interactive Advertising Association found that spending on online advertising had increase this year despite the wider economic situation.
