Event video production gives residents first taste of new homes Video gives virtual tour of £360 million future development.
A video production at a recent event has given residents a chance to see what their houses will look like after a regeneration project has been completed.
The consultation, hosted by the architects and engineers, included a virtual tour of the homes and open spaces of a £360 million redevelopment of 622 homes near Coventry.
Residents said the video had given them a much better idea of what their future neighbourhood will look like.
Chair of the Regeneration Action Team and resident Martin Smith, said: "I was really excited to see the walk-through programme.
"Things are becoming more real, and we are getting to the point now when we can actually imagine living in our new homes and can picture what we'd see as we open our front doors."
The new housing being built in Coventry is part of the government's New Deal for Communities scheme. The community-led initiative is aimed at improving neglected and disadvantaged local communities around the country.
