Eurostar uses video productions for social media site New site offers crowdsourced travel guide.
A new social media website has been launched by Eurostar, with video productions playing a key role.
Europebyeurostar.com allows travellers to upload their own reviews and experiences of destinations accessible by Eurostar and other European high-speed rail services.
It aims to act as a guide to other travellers looking to visit European destinations.
Visitors can either search by destinations and categories or via a Google Maps interface.
The user-generated content is supported by a blog that features articles and several video productions.
These include several video guides to various destinations, such as Paris and Amsterdam.
Robin Grant, managing director at We Are Social, the agency behind the site, said: "Travel is about experience, conversation and sharing, which are also the key elements of social media. Eurostar understands that by reaching out to the public it can help build a wealth of knowledge."
In July, Eurostar launched its Exploring is Beautiful marketing campaign, which involved its first TV adverts for three years.
