Disney uses video productions for new Hannah Montana campaign Fans asked to submit homemade videos to be shown online.
Video productions are to from a major part of a new marketing campaign for Disney.
The entertainment giant is using an online contest in which fans of Hannah Montana submit homemade videos, Marketing Week reports.
Called Hannah Montana - Lights, Camera, Action!, the contest will see viewers upload videos of themselves re-enacting one of eight pre-selected scenes from the show.
A shortlist of ten finalists will be chosen and their videos will be posted online so that viewers may vote for their favourite.
Boel Ferguson, general manager, Disney Channels UK & Ireland, told the news provider: "Hannah Montana is a true multi-platform phenomenon with kids and HMLCA was developed to reflect this.
"Our brand new online contest celebrates the TV content, and challenges kids to recreate, capture and share via platforms they can control like their cameras, phones and the web."
Last week, Disney reported better than expected earnings in the three months to January, largely thanks to its television network.
