Coca-Cola unveils Facebook drink following online video production Packaging and flavour of new drink designed following a Facebook competition.
Drinks giant Coca-Cola has released a Facebook-inspired version of its Vitaminwater drink following an online video production campaign.
The drink, called Connect, carries Facebook branding and descriptive text relating terms used on the social networking site, Marketing Magazine reported.
It follows a competition run on Vitaminwater's page that invited people to design their own flavours.
This was promoted by a YouTube video featuring NBA star Steve Nash who is an ambassador for the company.
The combining of video with social media is something some experts believe is a good way of boosting a website's search engine optimisation (SEO) success.
Recently, technology experts TechRadar.com claimed companies with good online video content encourage people on social media websites to link to them, increasing their SEO.
Currently, the new drink is only available in the US, it is not yet clear if it will be released in the UK.
