Car rental site to use video productions for new campaign Carrentals.co.uk has launched a YouTube video competition.
A new marketing campaign by Carrentals.co.uk hopes to exploit the increasing popularity of video productions on the internet.
The car rental company is launching a new competition to find the best car-related clip.
It is inviting visitors to its YouTube channel to send in their own videos which will be then be judged by the website's staff.
The creator of the winning video production will receive an Apple iPad, with prizes for the first and second runners up also awarded.
Carrentals.co.uk managing director Gareth Robinson said: "We know what an important role video plays on the Internet these days, which is why we wanted to bring together a selection of the best car-related clips for people to watch all in one place."
All of the submitted videos will be reviewed with those approved for the competition posted on YouTube for the duration of the contest.
Last month, digital sales agency Ad2One Group Ireland predicted that online video advertising will see 78 per cent growth in the next two years, meaning brands will distribute more videos online as part of their marketing campaigns than they do on television.
