CIM announce marketing awards Finalists for the first national Marketing Excellence Awards in the UK have been announced.
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has announced the finalists for its first national Marketing Excellence Awards.
The awards, which are due to take place on February 17th, have been created to highlight the role of marketing in business.
David Thorp, director of research and professional development at the CIM, said that the awards recognise the outstanding marketing utilised by UK businesses.
"The entrants demonstrated the innovation and creativity needed to demonstrate good marketing practice and innovation, even during the currency financial downturn," he said.
"The diversity and creativity of the entries resulted in much deliberation by the judging teams to judge and mark the final and worthy shortlist."
It took ten days to come up with the final shortlist of entrants, which fall under categories ranging from Not for Profit to Health Service Providers and Marketing Newcomer of the Year.
Other categories include Media, Marketer of the Year and Financial Services (Banking and Investment).
