Bravo invests in online video production for major Spartacus launch Bravo is to make use of online video productions to promote the upcoming launch of Spartacus.
Bravo is to become the latest big-named media organisation to make use of online video production for marketing purposes.
With the pay-TV channel, which is part of Virgin Media, having acquired the UK rights to screen the US high-budget drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand, it has decided that online marketing is the way to go if it is to attract new media-savvy viewers.
As such, alongside traditional outdoor billboards, Bravo is set to launch a series of online video productions, as well as iPhone applications and a special web app that will allow users to learn insults in Latin.
According to the Guardian, the marketing campaign will be launched next week, with the show expected to be a big hit with UK audiences following on from its success in the States, where a second series was commissioned even before it premiered.
At the end of last month, the UK National Lottery also unveiled its latest marketing push, with Britain's top sports stars starring in an upcoming online video production revolving around a free quiz.
