Bytemobile a network capacity solutions provide have released a report in which they predicted that 60% of mobile broadband use will be video content up from 40% in 2010.

The increasing power of smartphones as well the widespread use of tablets on mobile networks has meant that these devices are now capable of video streaming and it is becoming more and more popular to watch video on the go.

Bytemobile also says that personal video communications will be at the forefront of the 60% of use. For example Apple's new FaceTime video calling  app as well as the old favourite Skype will be one of the main sources of mobile Internet usage.

Depending on how you are looking at it this revelation can be either a blessing or a curse. AT&T's already strained data network will most likely suffer from this jump in demand for data and video.
