Video and SEO benefits highlighted Websites should utilise the power of video for search engine optimisation purposes.
Optimising video content is a good way of driving traffic to a website.
That is according to brand advisers Elemental, which has touted the medium as a great way to boost search engine optimisation (SEO).
Rachel Hawkes, account director at the consultancy, said: "Any business looking to adopt video into their marketing portfolio should make it standard practice to show text descriptions next to video.
"Text and video will seed well in search engines, providing businesses with really effective content to help drive SEO."
Ms Hawkes added that "professionally creative video" is often the better option over making something on a digital camera or web cam.
Earlier this week the European Interactive Advertising Association released figures showing that 83 per cent of marketers increased their online advertising spend in 2009.
In 2010, 94 per cent intended to increase their spending further.
Video continued to be strong too, with a third of marketers indicating that their use of the medium was increasing.
