Link building most difficult part of SEO, say marketers Survey reveals 37 per cent of marketers see link building as biggest challenge in SEO.
Online video productions could be one way marketers can boost the number of links others make to their sites, something that has been found to be one of the most difficult aspects of search engine optimisation (SEO).
According to a survey by keyword software provider WordStream, 37 percent of search marketers find link building to be the hardest part of SEO to accomplish successfully.
This is closely followed by keyword research, the process of analysing keywords to determine which will be the most beneficial to include, at 32 per cent.
"We are not surprised most search marketers dislike link building and keyword research," said Ken Lyons, senior marketing manager at WordStream.
"Link building can be very laborious and frustrating, but ironically it can have the biggest impact on search engine rankings of any SEM [search engine marketing] activity."
Writing in USA Today, small business expert Steve Strauss recently argued that video is one of the best ways to attract visitors to a site and getting them to stay there for a significant period of time.
