Google social search could affect video production SEO SEO expert gives advice on impact of Google social search.
Companies that use video productions may wish to take advice from an industry expert on how Google's new social search function could affect search engine optimisation (SEO).
The new feature, currently available as an experiment through Goggle Labs, includes search results from a users' online social network, eg friends from Facebook and Twitter.
Writing for SearchEngineWatch.com, SEO expert John Greer said there are a number of ways online companies need to adapt to benefit from social search.
He recommends opening a Twitter account which is frequently updated using keywords, optimising e-mail news letters for search and providing quality and fresh content on social site pages.
Mr Greer claimed that social search could have a greater impact on SEO than previous search engine upgrades such as personlised search.
"There may be a sizable number of users who see social results above your top ten listing," he said.
This week Twitter announced the launch of a tool which allows other users to access the micro blogging site directly from other websites such as YouTube.
