Google launches Instant search results New search feature could impact video SEO, says expert.
Google's new Instant search tool could have a big impact on companies using video productions for search engine optimisation (SEO).
The new feature, which is so far only available through the Google.com domain and with certain internet browsers, displays search results as soon as user begins typing their query.
These search results are instantly updated each time a new character is typed.
In an article for ReelSEO.com, Jeremy Scott, a US-based SEO and internet marketing consultant, claimed that this could have a big impact for video production users.
"How will this impact video SEO? Well, in potentially huge ways," he said.
"It may not impact what content creators do on their end, in terms of keyword selection, sitemaps, or links … but it will definitely affect when and how people see and click on your content's listing."
It was recently reported that US internet users now spend more time on Facebook than any other site, with Google-owned sites the second most popular, figures from comScore revealed.
