Expert recommends YouTube video productions for SEO YouTube videos can help firms stand out from the crowd on search engines, says marketing expert.
Using corporate video productions posted on YouTube can be a great way to boost search engine optimisation, an expert has said.
Garry Przyklenk, online marketing and lead generation manager at newswire service Marketwire, that YouTube's association with top search engine Google, which owns the site, mean it often gets high-ranking results on Google's search page.
Furthermore, given the vast amount of written content on the web, videos can be a good way to stand out from the crowd, he says.
In an article fro Screenenginewatch.com, he says: "Although YouTube isn't the only option in video distribution, it's hard to deny that if YouTube was a search engine, it'd be the number two search engine in the world behind Google."
He recommends a number of ways firm's can optimise their corporate video productions for YouTube in order to get the best SEO results.
These include making sure keywords feature heavily in the videos' title text, description and tags.
He also strongly advises enabling embedding, which allows others to use the video in blogs and social media sites – something that plays a big role in SEO.
It was recently reported by New Media Age that YouTube saw a three per cent increase in UK visitors in May, according to the latest UKOM figures from Nielsen.
