Consumers demanding mobile online video content, new report advises A new report has highlighted the extent to which retailers are focusing their video productions and other digital marketing efforts on the mobile sector.
Businesses looking to reach consumers with their corporate videos should take note of the growing demand for mobile content.
According to a new study carried out by Forrester Research in partnership with the digital arm of the National Retail Federation in the United States, shop.org, growing numbers of businesses are now looking to make their marketing initiatives available to consumers on the move.
Indeed, three in four of the retailers polled for the study confirmed that they already have or are about to develop a mobile marketing strategy.
Commenting on the findings, shop.org executive director Scott Silverman advised that businesses need to move with the times and break with traditional forms of advertising so as to stay ahead of the competition.
"It's imperative for online retailers to stay on top of what their customers want and these days it's all mobile all the time," he said.
This comes in the same week that UKOM reported that one in four UK web-users are now over the age of 50, with this statistic likely to have been picked up by businesses keen to target their corporate videos to the 'silver surfer' generation.
