Businesses urged to use SEO SEO must be grasped as "much as is humanly possible" by small businesses.
Video productions can be used to help boost search engine optimisation (SEO) which, it has been claimed, is key to small businesses.
According to David Wilson, a web journalist writing for the Sydney Morning Herald, it is vital small businesses appear on the first page of Google's search results.
"Your small business search ranking must appear on the first page of Google results - or else," he said.
"Few people bother to search much further. So you must grasp the art of SEO as much as is humanly possible."
He added that, although Google keeps its search methods secret and changes them frequently, some fundamentals remained constant.
For example, businesses should always make sure their copywriting is "remorselessly relevant" and shuns "flowery digression".
Video productions have been championed by other online marketing experts, such as Nick Stamoulis, president and founder of US search engine marketing company Brick Marketing.
Last week, in an article for PromotionWorld.com, he said that video could boost a company's SEO performance tenfold.
