YouTube improves mobile site as video production views hit 100m More than 100 million videos are watched on YouTube's mobile site each day.
Video productions on YouTube's site for mobile devices will load faster and be easier to access following a raft of updates.
YouTube has said it has brought in a series of changes to the site, which allows users to watch online videos while on the go using smartphones and other internet connected devices.
The company says these changes will make the site faster, improve the user interface and add functions such as search query suggestions and the option to create playlists.
"As the world continues to go mobile, we think this is a great improvement for users who want a more consistent YouTube across many devices, no matte r where they are," said the website on its blog.
In addition, YouTube has announced its mobile site now gets over 100 million video views per day, having risen 160 per cent in 2009 compared to the year before.
YouTube was founded in 2005 and bought by internet search giant Google in 2006.
