YouTube boss looks for TV convergence Chad Hurley says that in the future online and TV will be the same thing.
YouTube could become an even better place to post corporate videos if co-founder Chad Hurley's ambitions are realised.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Mr Hurley outlined his vision for the future of the video sharing site.
Part of this is to see a convergence between online video and other platforms such as TV and mobile.
"People think about the world of TV and the world of online video as being different ways to distribute video," he told the news provider.
"But what happens when every TV is connected to wi-fi with a browser? What does that mean for your distribution opportunities?"
"That is what we envision. Instead of this world of online video and this world of TV there is just one world."
He also added that he believes YouTube will become a very profitable business model in the future largely thanks to advertising revenue.
YouTube, which now streams more than one billion videos a day to visitors, recently celebrated its fifth anniversary since conception.
