Video productions are 'how companies and businesses should communicate' IBM exec says videos can be used both for internal communication and marketing.
The benefits of using corporate video productions have been highlighted by international IT consultancy firm IBM.
In a case study published on Vzaar.com, the video hosting platform used by IBM, the company's worldwide offerings manager Mark Leaser claims that video can be an excellent tool for internal communications.
"No more long, cumbersome marketing documents - no more boring presentations. Video is how companies and business should communicate," he said.
IBM uses corporate video productions for sales training, communication, education and conferencing.
However, Mr Leaser said online video also forms an important part of the firm's marketing activity.
"We use video as a means of attracting interest in something that we are doing," he commented.
"The video segments have to be more than a commercial - we have to offer content with value, information of how our solutions will help our customer's business, and tips for using particular solutions."
IBM is the world's fourth largest technology company and was rated as having the second most valuable global brand behind Coca-Cola by Bloomberg Businessweek last year.
