Video production seen to boost in-store sales

Investing in corporate video productions can help retailers benefit from increased in-store sales, newly-released figures suggest.

Research carried out for the latest Video Impact Study from US firm BrightRoll looked into the influence online video campaigns have on in-store sales.

Specifically, the study, which was carried out in partnership with Reckitt Benckiser found that, on the back of a five-month online video production campaign promoting Air Wish Freshmatic, in-store sales of the product were seen to increase by six per cent.

Notably, the findings show online video content to be a bigger driver of sales than linear online advertising content, with RB head of integrated media services for North America Marc Fonzetti explaining that the company has simply followed its customers from television to the internet.

He added that making use of corporate video production solutions "is an effective way to engage consumers, and ultimately, drive sales".

At the same time, The Fine Bedding Company has launched a new consumer-facing online marketing campaign, with an in-store video having been shot in a bid to boost in-store sales.
