Training video launched for food industry A food training video has been launched aimed at helping improve standards in the sector.
A video to train people in the food industry about hygiene standards has been launched.
The video training system, illustrates not only the latest legislation but also food handling regimes and health and safety processes.
Ken Robinson from company Ken Robinson Associated who launched the video, said: "Good progress has been made in bringing injury rates in the sector down and to achieving betting housekeeping, but the recession is beginning to challenge that.
"The advantage of using video to provide food industry safety training is that it provides a clear and consistent message meeting requirements, reducing the burden on staff."
Last week it was announced that online videos on YouTube and Google Videos would soon have captions added automatically thanks to a voice recognition system.
Writing on the Google Blog, software engineer Ken Harrenstein said that although the captions would not be perfect they can be "helpful" to people who are hard of hearing.
