Toyota launches 'confidence boosting' corporate video The Japanese carmaker Toyota has recruited its workers to star in its latest corporate video production.
Toyota has reportedly roped in its employees to star in a new corporate video production it hopes will raise public confidence in the brand.
Over the past year the reputation of the Japanese carmaker has taken a beating after it was forced to recall tens of thousands of its vehicles over safety fears.
However, the company is now confident that it can win the public back, with its latest corporate video production highlighting the degree to which its workers place safety above all else.
According to Marketing magazine, Toyota's new advert, which has been launched on the company?s own YouTube channel, features its own factory workers talking viewers through the safety measures in place on its production lines.
Explaining the thinking behind such a tactic, Toyota GB marketing director John Thomson told the publication: "There is a feeling that during this period our people should be our voice, to use a human approach and a confident tone of voice to state what Toyota stands for."
According to the latest data from ComScore, YouTube continues to be the most effective place for posting corporate video productions, with three in four Americans watching online videos through the site.
