Top web videos of 2009 to be listed by YouTube The most memorable web videos of 2009 are to be counted down by YouTube.
YouTube is to count down the most popular and memorable videos of the year. Mark Day, marketing programs manager at YouTube, wrote on the website's blog that a countdown would take place throughout December, much like an advent calendar. "With a limit of 31 videos in the countdown, we know it only just scratches the surface of this incredible time on YouTube," he said. "Without giving too much away, you can expect some well-known YouTube videographers on the countdown, along with breakout viral videos and a selection of the year's biggest pop-culture phenoms and memes." YouTube has been developing a number of new sections recently, including a plan to launch full-length programmes for the first time. Channel 4 programmes including The Inbetweeners and Gordon Ramsay's The F Word are to be placed on the site.
