Three million iPads sold in 80 days The Apple iPad has sold over three million units after only 80 days on sale.
Corporate video production users could find they have a growing audience as the popularity of the Apple iPad expands the mobile internet market.
Apple have announced that sales of the tablet device, which with its large screen and high-quality graphics is ideal for video consumption, have reached three million in just 80 days since its release.
It follows earlier announcements that the iPad sold 300,000 in its first day and two million after 60 days.
"People are loving iPad as it becomes a part of their daily lives," said Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive.
"We're working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more people around the world, including those in nine more countries next month."
Developers have also been working to come up with new apps for the iPad, with 11,000 already created specifically for the device.
Earlier this month, Apple unveiled the latest addition of its smartphone, the iPhone 4.
